Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced surgical technologist to join our team in Alamosa, CO. As a surgical technologist, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring that the OR environment is safe and sterile, and helping to prepare patients before and after surgery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing the OR and equipment for surgical procedures
- Sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Prepping the patient for surgery
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures
- Managing inventory of supplies and equipment
- Restocking surgical supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining surgical equipment
- Documentation of surgical procedures
- adhering to all policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist program
- Current CST certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical technology
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy equipment
