Summary

Job Summary

Extracts, interprets and analyzes data from varied sources to assist administration and staff in development of strategies to improve throughput, outcomes, and financials. Provides data in graphical summary that is concise, accurate and providing the complete overview of the operational situation. Collaborates with other departments from across the organization to assist with development of process improvement strategies and data management. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates EMR system and user functionality and reporting needs for the EMR for the department and enterprise. Has in-depth business knowledge to support EMR software application. Responsible to work with physicians, nursing staff and Core users to write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop, modify, test, train and implement computer programs. Has extensive user contact when documenting requested changes to business systems. Is the key clinical player when installing, upgrading and maintaining the EMR.Responsible for the management of business operations of multiple departments within Perioperative Services.

Job Requirements

Education

Required: Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field

Preferred: Masters in Business or Healthcare Administration

Experience

Required: 3 years in Healthcare Operations

Preferred: 3 years in Healthcare Analytics or equivalent

Skills

Extensive knowledge in EMRs

Process improvement using Six-Sigma, Lean, or PDCA framework

Excellent ability with data management and report/graph building

Ability to lead teams on process improvement projects

Organize and present data in formal settings

Licensure/Certification/Registration
