Position Summary:*
In this position, the Fuel Supply Specialist is responsible for supporting and backing up as needed the Fuel Supply Manager to ensure that Wilcox and Flegel is meeting our contract gallons and buying at the best price to maximize our margins and profitability. You will be a key team member in supporting very important business relationships with suppliers and enabling us to live our Mission with our customers, team members, and communities. In this role, you will also be a key contributor to supporting the effective, timely and proper transportation and storage of fuel supplies. Responsible to consistently role model our Core Values.
Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the fuel market and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Assist with management of all bulk fuel supply-storages, contracts, rack agreements.
- Collaborate with Dispatch, Maintenance, and Fuel Supply for quoting pricing for over the water deliveries, and logistics of the delivery.
- Review post-delivery reports for financial accuracy and performance.
- Maintains fuel pricing system for the organization.
- Manages fuel allocations daily and assists dispatch with purchasing decisions.
- Supports retail team with fuel pricing, quotes, history, and allocation.
- Takes initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing.
- Assists in rack selection and makes recommendations for best price/purchase.
- Analyzes and reports on product cost at all locations to assure consistent and accurate pricing.
- Is responsible for monitoring regulatory mandated trading costs for carbon and other markets as applicable, reporting and updating systems and stakeholders as needed.
- Makes recommendations to improve upon fuel supply costs that may lead to improved financial performance.
- Responsible for working collaboratively with departments to learn and gain expert knowledge on the fuel product offerings.
- Recommends and enforces pricing policies and strategies to maintain or improve competitive position and/or profitability.
- Monitors for rack outages and communicates such events to stakeholders.

Minimum Education and Experience:*
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year experience in financial and business analysis including sales & margin.

Preferred Education and Experience:*
- AA degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.
- 2+ years experience in pricing optimization/modeling in retail and/or wholesale distribution environment.
- 2+ years of experience and demonstrated success utilizing supply chain/logistics systems; experience in fuel distribution management
