Description/Job Summary

SUMMARY

The Director of Supply Chain is a key leader in the Platform Supply Chain team and the primary owner of the Supply and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and our distribution/logistics network including critical strategy development and tactical implementation, execution, and continuous improvement. He/she will oversee the supply chain management function, including materials management, logistics, and integrated business planning. He/she will be responsible for managing the material supply chain, maximizing capacity utilization through S&OP, implementing and owning supply chain systems. He/she will provide process best practice and technical leadership to the organization throughout the supply chain with focus on S&OP, production planning, operational efficiency, inventory planning, material replenishment, plant scheduling, ERP utilization, and distribution resource planning. He/she will be a critical liaison to global sourcing, purchasing, customer service, as well as, our finance, commercial, and operations leaders.

  We offer a competitive salary with a range of $145,000-$175,000 based on experience and skill set.
• This position is eligible to participate in the Signode annual bonus program with a target of 50% of base salary.

• Signode Americas Strapping and Film Ops
• 5 manufacturing sites
• 3 outside warehouses
• 4-6 direct reports
• 30 indirect reports
• 50+ organizational influence
• Annual revenue of $ 500MM

Essential Functions:

• Develop company supply chain strategy that meets company performance objectives and customer expectations including our One Signode market approach.
• Lead the monthly executive S&OP process to ensure all aspects of process results in a comprehensive and deliverable execution plan.
• Manage key reports of planning, warehousing/logistics, and supply chain analysts.
• Manage all logistics vendors in a tactical fashion including: transportation management, 3PL's, transportation carriers, import/export providers.
• Develop standard metrics across the supply chain to track relevant performance to drive strategy.
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing to have successful strategy of raw material and purchased finished products.
• Minimizes costs of the distribution network ("cost of network") through management of warehouses, 3PLs and transportation providers.
• Collaborate with fellow Finance, Commercial, and Operations leaders to ensure achievement of Platform objectives.
• Optimize routines to ensure delivery of supplies and improve supply chain metrics in terms of cost and service.
• Develop supply chain management best practices in areas such as systems integration and optimization, inventory control, logistics and supply planning.
• Perform analytics on key supply chain data to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide support and supply chain guidance to other functional teams.
• Act as Change Agent and Project Champion for continuous improvement projects such as systems implementations across the platform.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, supply chain management or similar degree. MBA preferred.

Experience / Abilities:

• Minimum of 10 years in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in both S&OP processes, logistics and distribution management.
• Understanding of Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Comfortable with up to 50% travel including international travel.
• Have a proven track record in achieving annual performance targets, and the ability to recruit, develop, build, and manage outstanding talent.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience in utilizing an ERP system. Microsoft AX preferred.
