About this role
Entry-level Procurement professional. Carries out processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and / or services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carries out processes and standards in support of Procurement, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
- Works with buyers in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.
- Prepares blanket & one-time purchase orders and payment approvals to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Assembles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information for analysis.
- Supports the preparation of request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Compiles records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories, analyzes data and ensures account needs are met.
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Responds to internal inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assists in development of category strategy based on supplier geography, cost, capability, quality and other criteria.
- Maintains supplier relationships keep open channels of communication and ensure prioritization for Carrier parts and challenges
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or finance
- 1+ years’ experience in a supply chain or manufacturing. Internships and Co-Ops in similar roles also suitable

- Driven employee with desire to grow in their career
- Strong analytical thinker
- Listens and learns attentively to apply new knowledge effectively
- Effective oral and written communicator
- Moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
