Job description
The Supervisor, Cash Applications and AR Services position is responsible for overseeing a team that ensures the timely and accurate processing of Cash Application related tasks and driving research and resolution to customer Accounts Receivable inquiries. As a member of the corporate Accounts Receivable management team, and in support of policies and processes as governed by the corporate Financial Operations organization, supervise and lead the team by ensuring that the financial and service deliverables are achieved in accordance with group deliverables and business key performance indicators.Job Detail -
Provide daily supervision and leadership to Cash and AR services team while ensuring that the team is adhering to corporate and departmental policies and procedures
Facilitate the timely and accurate posting of customer payments to the proper accounts by management of a diverse payment portfolio (checks, credit cards, and electronic funds transfer) in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
Facilitate and maintain a collaborate, service focused relationship with the Call Center operational team, location representatives, and customers to ensure the thorough and timely research and resolution of financial questions or issues pertaining to customer accounts
Facilitate the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of fiscal month end, quarter end, and year end cash application related deliverables
Drive or participate in cash application or AR related continuous improvement initiatives or other projects as requested by Financial Operations management
Serve as interface with IT and Billtrust (cash application software) representatives to identify and drive quick resolution to cash application system issues
Drive the preparation and delivery of individual or group training related to the cash application process or software / systems that support the cash applications process
Identify and implement improvements to departmental procedures for Cash Application and related Accounts Receivable tasks and processes
Participate in the recruiting and hiring process that ensures staffing quality and levels in accordance with group service, budget, and resource requirements
Ensure the timely and thorough completion of employee annual performance assessments as well as performance improvement process as required
Qualifications
Requirements -
3-5 years of releveant experience required in high volume settings
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, or SAP preferred
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Outstanding communication (verbal, written, and listening) skills, including the ability to interact with senior management, customers, team partners, or vendor representatives
Outstanding Customer Service skills, including the ability to effectively research and resolve customer account inquiries utilizing a service excellence mindset
