Heidelberg Materials is seeking a summer Building Materials Yard Worker at our retail store in Redmond, WA. The temporary summer season role will report to Building Materials Supervisor.

Key Targets of the Role

• The Building Materials Yard Worker provides customer service to all Heidelberg Material customers internal and external throughout the summer season. This position involves equipment loader and forklift operation. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexible hours including Weekends.

What You’ll Get to Do

• Offload incoming deliveries and load customer purchases
• Stock and reface shelves in the Building Materials Store and restock inventory when
• Use hydraulic cutter/bender, cut and bend rebar
• Address customer concerns and questions
• Schedule customer deliveries and will call orders
• Team player helping grow Building Materials business
• Learn about the products sold at the Building Materials Store and their usages
• Execute housekeeping procedures to maintain an orderly and safe working environment
• Perform shipping and receiving procedures

Essential Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license
• Ability to lift 100lbs
• Strong communication skills
• Outgoing, assertive, customer service personality
• Ability to multi-task with minimum supervision
• Strong desire to work in a construction materials/ industrial environment
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, overtime, and nights

What we have to offer

• $22.00-25.00 /hour

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Applicants must be residing in and currently authorized to work in the US

• Role operates in an environment where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
