SUMMARY

Uses standard hand tools and common power tools to maintain grounds. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Monitors quality control to make sure departmental work standards are met.

• 
  Responds to customer requests in a cooperative, positive and responsive manner.

• 
  Sweeps landscape areas.

• 
  Cleans grounds and removes litter.

• 
  Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn and shrubs.

• 
  Cleans out rain gutters and catch basins.

• 
  Cleans and maintains tennis courts.

• 
  Rakes, cleans and sets up beach.

• 
  Other duties may be assigned

OUTCOME

The overall maintenance of the guest room and the facilities influence guest and co-employee impression of the total organization. Clean, well maintained guest rooms, facilities and equipment will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to customers, managers, guests, and other employees of the organization. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English at an appropriate level for the position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid California Drivers License.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

INTERACTION

Employees in the position of engineering/grounds interact frequently with all the departments, tenants and guests. Employees must have the ability to communicate and work with the may departments along with designated guests.

SCHEDULING

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from you accustomed schedule as task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
