We are looking for a STEM Summer Camp Counselor who is enthusiastic about empowering students in STEM through hands-on projects and activities to join our team for the 2023 season!

What do Summer Camp Counselors do? First and foremost, they must ensure campers are safe at all times. The relationships you build with campers is paramount and we emphasize social emotional learning as well as embracing STEM subjects. We need reliable staff who are ready to commit to 4+ weeks contract and duty hours between 9am-3pm Mon. to Fri. in summer.

Responsibilities

• Develop, Prepare and Implement the STEM programs and Art Crafts with day by day schedule, as well as material kits (Lego® Robot Building, Coding Program for Kids, Art Crafts...)
• Lead recreational and educational activities (indoor and outdoor games)
• Educate campers through games and explorations
• Make sure all safety rules are followed
• Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed
• Communication with families if needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and teamwork
• Ability to present the project tasks and hands on
• Comfort and enthusiasm around instruction for students age 6-12
• Patient and reliable
• A passion for empowering young students in the camp

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
