Job description

Quiet, private farm in the mountains of Vermont looking for a Barn Manager/Groom for the summer with possibility of full year.
Job would require visits to the barn at least twice a day, or to live on site (preferred). Small one bedroom cabin includes utilities/internet, queen bed, and large deck overlooking pasture.

This position will be responsible for:

Observing and monitoring the health and well-being of three horses.
Cleaning stalls and pastures.
Grooming and tacking up.
Daily turn in, turnout, and night checks.
Hauling food, supplies, etc. in farm's vehicles.
Providing basic administration of medication and first aid.
Scheduling visits from farrier and veterinarian when necessary..

Knowledge of horses is a must.
Trail riding experience a plus.

Job is currently available for summer to early fall, with possibility of a year-round position.

Payment is negotiable, and based on experience. Starting $15/hr with cabin included.
