Subway Assistant Manager
OPPORTUNITY ABOUNDS!!! We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our management team across multiple locations. We are looking for individuals who possesses strong leadership skills and a “get it done” mentality.

This position starts at $16.00 per hour with added tip earnings of $4-$6 per hour.

Open availability required to be able to handle opening shifts, closing shifts, weekday and weekend shifts.

$150 per month Food Per Diem.

Qualifications for this position are as follows

  • 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • A basic understanding of cost management, developing budgets, decision making, and process improvement
  • Strategic planning, excellent verbal communication, customer focus
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel)
  • Able to make decisions, solve problems and lead a full staff.
  • Cost controls, health and safety practices and high standards as well as attention to detail.
  • Have excellent time management.
  • Emphasis on a positive culture, incorporating proven systems.
  • Leadership traits include honesty, strong work ethic and an overall moral integrity with a hands-on management style.

Responsibilities

  • Control purchases and inventory by meeting with the general manager; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; taking corrective actions.
  • Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service standards. Initiating improvements and building relationships with guests.
  • Staff recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
  • Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling and planning
  • Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
  • Interview hourly employees. Direct hiring, supervision, development and, when necessary, termination of employees.
  • Conduct orientation, explain the culture/food philosophy, and oversee the training of new employees.
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts. standards, product quality and cleanliness.
