This position will be on a dynamic team, supporting Team Submarine. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine SHAPM contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

Serco-NA is seeking a motivated engineers to provide engineering support to the Columbia Class program office in Washington, DC.
In this role, you will:
- Provide engineering and systems engineering support to the program office.
- Recommend course of action(s) for unexpected technical and programmatic issues related to RDT&E.
- Perform technical planning, cost, schedule, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems; analyses performed at concept, design, test, evaluation, and operational phases.
- Review and develop analytical and technical input needed in order to evaluate documentation and development of briefs to ensure accurate, timely and essential information is proved to decision makers.
- Prepare Unclassified and Classified briefs for audiences up to and including the Flag level.
- Attend meetings and specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
- Set high personal standards for performance and conduct.
- Demonstrate ability to be a team player; works well with others; contributes positively to work/team environment while continually seeks ways to enhance contribution to the team.
- Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Perform a variety of tasks under general supervision.
- Typically report to a supervisor or manager.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Required: A Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship after employment.
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or similar engineering technical degree and up to 0-2 years’ experience.
- Required: MS Microsoft skills are essential, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Required: You must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.
- Work experience in the Navy and specifically within Team Submarine or on-board submarines is a plus.
- Travel 10% of the time.
