Job Description Summary

Student research assistant to support scientific investigation to study atypical and typical development in children as directed in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Science and Physical Therapy Division using behavioral, biomechanical, and clinical approaches ; assists research staff in recruitment, data collection following a protocol, data entry, data cleaning, video conversion, labeling markers, review of the literature, and interaction with families are common tasks. Understands and can lead research methods and equipment operation. Maintains accurate records of laboratory activities. Coding videos related to child development and working with motion capture systems are required. Duties will vary based on the status of the research project.

Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired

Undergraduate or graduate student in a health-related field. Previous experience with children or physical activity is desired but not required. Ability to work independently and with strong scientific rigor is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
