MFC Workforce Solutions & Total Rewards is seeking a leader who can shape and lead the team to deliver a robust workforce planning strategy for Missiles & Fire Control. This Workforce Planning Manager will report to the MFC People Analytics & Technology Senior Manager.

The position will lead the team responsible for all components of workforce planning, including strategic workforce planning, headcount planning, and resource management. The manager will be responsible for partnering across the business to mature and integrate these capabilities, aligning systems, processes, and policies to drive sound talent decisions and better business outcomes.

As the WFP manager you will lead and be responsible for:

  • Creating the vision and roadmap for workforce planning capability maturation, including a holistic perspective that integrates all three types of workforce planning
  • Led the workforce planning team to deliver trusted talent risk assessments, based on:
  • 2-3x/year headcount planning activity in support of MFC Finance & LRP Schedule 9 headcount and hiring forecasts
  • Ongoing MFC resource management activity to more clearly articulate current and upcoming program needs and staffing commitments in alignment with financials
  • Strategic workforce planning focused on critical skills
  • Partnering with other HR Centers of Excellence to advise on the build, buy, and borrow strategies to address identified talent gaps
  • Consulting with executives and key business leaders to support talent decisions
  • Influencing adoption and compliance with workforce planning processes to drive data integrity
  • Representing MFC on the Enterprise Workforce Planning (eWFP) Integrated Project Team (IPT) and partnering with cross-Business Area peers to realize outcomes of mutual benefit

Basic Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Workforce Planning and Analytics
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex quantitative/qualitative data and research findings into easy-to-understand presentations for a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated experience setting and delivering on a vision/strategy by leading a team and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to achieve the intended results
  • Demonstrated experience leading others - selecting, managing, developing direct reports/employees, and fostering an inclusive environment
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including developing project plans, preparing corresponding communication plans, and identifying milestones, deadlines, and metrics to assess outcomes/results
  • Demonstrated experience delivering results for the business
  • Demonstrated experience in executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated learning agility and facilitated decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
  • Understanding of integrated talent management and talent strategies to attract, develop, motivate, and retain an engaged workforce
Desired Skills:
  • Preferred experience in all three types of workforce planning – headcount planning, resource management, and strategic workforce planning
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the field/discipline of Human Resources practices, processes, and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders using multiple methods based on context

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
