Strategic Initiatives Principal (Fleet Operations)

Position Summary
Act as lead for assigned initiatives pertaining to more complex Fleet operations projects. Oversee the specific projects by providing expertise to team members in a variety of strategic areas including Fleet technician training, Work standardization, Vehicle Standards, Diagnostic Tool Admin (WI-TECH, Geotab etc), Manufacturer interfaces (recalls, work campaigns, etc), Electric Vehicle Program Management, etc. Responsible for providing necessary coaching to the team to accomplish the best possible analysis and recommendation on each initiative. Act as the liaison to senior Management and executive sponsors associated with the initiative. Act as primary point of contact for interested parties to the initiatives and be the main spokesperson to stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage and provide guidance to team members involved with the specific initiative(s).
Mentor assigned personnel on various advanced concepts pertaining to initiative completion, including overall initiative analysis, processes and strategies and general project management activities.
Coordinate activities of team with other Fleet groups sections and external departments as required to provide for the most efficient use of the teams time and efforts.
Communicate initiative progress and make presentations as appropriate to senior Supply Chain and Business Unit management concerning specific initiatives.
Train, advise and counsel team members as needed on key activities and maintain the teams focus on the initiative objectives.
Manage and facilitate issues resolution involving senior management and other stakeholders interaction.
Develop recommendations for strategic initiative implementation with alternative solutions being provided.
Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance or related field of study and a minimum (7) seven years of fleet operations (supply chain) or related experience; (Or)
Associate's degree Business Administration, Procurement, Finance or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of fleet operations (supply chain) or related experience; (Or)
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 15 years of fleet operations (supply chain) or related experience.
Experience should reflect positions of increasing responsibility. Supervisory and/or business case analysis experience is preferred but not required.
Additional Information
MBA is preferred but not required.
