Job Title: Stone Countertop Installer Reports to: General Manager

Location: Westlake, Ohio FLSA Status: Full- Time, Hourly

Job Summary:

Granite Works Stone Design is looking for a highly motivated Stone Countertop Installer that wants to join a quickly growing company with great growth opportunity. Candidates will perform installation in residential and commercial settings that include new construction sites, homes, commercial buildings, and offices. Candidates should have a working knowledge of power tools and practice problem solving when necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installation of natural and manmade stone countertops
• Removal of Laminate, Tile, Corian, and other existing countertop surface materials
• Has the ability to read and translate drawings and diagrams
• Able to identify and troubleshoot fabricating issues
• Performs quality inspection of finished products that includes the comparison to templates for dimensions, measuring dimensions while maintaining the quality of work Granite Works is known for
• On the job critical thinking to ensure jobs are completed promptly and according to our company’s quality standards
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisors
• Fix issues as they are presented onsite
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Educations and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in granite/quartz installation
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and become cross trained in different areas of shop work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to lift, push, pull more than 150 lbs.
• Able to stand, sit, walk, move, squat, walk or climb for long periods of time
• Able to operate heavy equipment (forklifts and cranes) a plus
• A positive attitude with a dedication to high quality work and craftsmanship
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with limited supervision
