DISHWASHER

With the demand growing at Griffin Club LA we are looking for personable, experienced team members to improve our member experience across the entire club and bring it to the next level. We are seeking fun, enthusiastic and creative individuals who are self-starters and have a strong work ethic.

SUMMARY

The dishwasher is responsible for promptly and carefully sorting and cleaning dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans and other related items. The dishwasher must follow all instructions from supervisors to ensure the safety of themselves and others working in the kitchen. Must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Must be on time for assigned shifts.
• Coordinates the flow of dirty and clean equipment throughout the day.
• Ensure all outlets are prepared for the day’s service.
• Maintain a safe work environment; keep floors clear and dry, remove obstacles.
• Ensure that all health department requirements are met; paper towels, trash, soap, sani-buckets are at the proper concentration.
• Maintain food service sanitation certification (California Food Handler’s Card)
• Maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
• Store items properly at the end of the shift.
• Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
• Handle and report any accident immediately.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the Club.
• Respond properly in any emergency or safety situation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Experience working as a kitchen steward, preferably in a resort/hotel environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, chemicals and washing equipment and the proper safety procedures for their use.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner.
• Ability to work day, nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is usually indoors, in a controlled environment, and in some cases outdoors and experiences a moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
