Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the Manager Central Sterile Services will join the Perioperative Services team, working alongside the Operating Room Manager, PACU Nurse Manager, and Perioperative Services Educator. The Manager Central Sterile Services will be accountable for materials management and instrument processing for the perioperative surgical service department. The Manager Central Sterile Services will be supported by a Lead Sterile Processing Supervisor and CST, CBSPD, CRCST Sterile Processing technicians.

Administrative responsibilities of the Manager Central Sterile Services will include determining and reordering inventory and instrument as needed to maintain proper supply levels, overseeing procurement of consignment reorders, capital purchasing, product requisitions and evaluations, maintaining inventory maintenance systems, tracking sterile processing records and documents, updating policy procedures and enforcing state and federal regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Sterile Processing Manager SPD will be responsible for new hire orientation, department education, ensuring instrument processing trays are readily available, and representing the perioperative materials management and instrument processing department as the vendor liaison.
