Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) Bus is hiring qualified Transit Operators for up to 30 - 40 hrs/wk and for fill in/part time for the spring/summer season through September 17, 2023. $300 summer season bonus. Summer season dates: May 27, 2023 – September 17, 2023. Employment includes use of the Town of Jackson gym and free entry to the Teton County Recreation Center.

This is an excellent opportunity for a value centered, team-oriented professional interested in public service as well as interested in enjoying a vibrant Rocky Mountain summer resort lifestyle with world class river rafting, fishing, and hiking and biking trails in Bridger Teton National Forest, as well as Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Primary duty is the operation of a bus in order to transport and assist the general public along a fixed route. Routes include transporting summer visitors /employees/ guests to and from the Town of Jackson and Teton Village, transporting locally employed and visitors throughout Town, fill-in shifts transporting commuters from Teton Valley Idaho and Star Valley Wyoming, and fill-in shifts serving our most vulnerable with ADA service all while operating traditional diesel powered buses, motor coaches for commuters, hybrid diesel/electric buses, smaller gas powered shuttle buses, and our new all electric Proterra buses. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications include: Wyoming Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain. Successful applicants will possess the ability to deal politely, effectively and responsibly with the public.
