Position Summary Details
ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Stand-up Forklift Operator. This position is in charge of towing and emptying trash and cardboard carts as they fill through the shift. Seeking a 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm and 2nd Shift is 2pm -10:30pm. Must be Certified on a Stand-up Forklift (Electric) and provide certification. Pay rate $20.00/hr. Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
Essential Functions
- Operates Industrial Lift and/or Tugger to assist in loading or moving materials for Yardage.
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Must learn to bale cardboard, run a trash compactor, and operate a tow tractor in order to keep production running smoothly Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating and managing technical equipment.
- Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules
- Uses computer, reads work order, or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads materials and/or buggies into trailers and/or trucks.
- Installs strapping or chains to prevent shifting or damage while in transit.
- Transports buggies from work sites to designated area.
- Loads and unloads full or empty buggies.
- Uses the computer to keep a current list of available buggies.
- Some duties of this position may be janitorial in nature, such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must meet all requirements to receive required Certification for Forklift
