In an effort to support our hiring needs, Electric Boat is looking to bring on board a strong Outreach Coordinator to facilitate recruiting & event planning for our Quonset Point location. As an Outreach Coordinator, you will be working hand-in-hand with various organizations and communities to represent Electric Boat and the opportunities available here. Our Recruiting & Outreach Team works to strategically and operationally identify sources of talent, build relationships, and select people who possess the mindset, values, and special skills to be successful within the organization. Job Description:
To support the hiring needs and strategic growth at Electric Boat, the Quonset Point Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Managing relationships with Community Partners including High Schools, Tech Schools, etc in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts
- Giving Presentations on Electric Boat & helping candidates through the application process
- Event coordination: This includes outreach to local community organizations as well as research to determine what hiring events may be coming up, ensuring Electric Boat is registered and prepared for the events, including gathering support from the Talent Acquisition team & Operations to represent EB at the events.
- Organizing EB initiated career fairs or info sessions as needed.
- Nights & weekends may be required to support recruiting events
- Local & domestic travel required as part of this position
- Travel between Groton, CT and Quonset Point RI facilities
Required:
- 2 years or more of event planning / project management
- Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of related HR, Recruiting, Staffing and outreach experience
- 1 or more years of presentations / public speaking
Preferred:
- 3+ years recruiting experience
- 3+ years of EB experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, meeting platforms (Zoom, WebEx), and marketing platforms is preferred
