Embark on the path of exciting challenges as a general Staff Software Engineer, charged with developing, integrating, and deploying innovative ground systems that enable global integrated operations to support the Joint warfighter. Within the Advanced Programs division, the Staff Software Engineer will be key to forging the full range of software design, development, documentation, and testing across multiple research and development programs. Together with a multidisciplinary team, the Staff Software Engineer will candidate will:
Contribute toward the architecture and development of a robust mission management
subsystem to support the warfighter
Utilize Agile methodologies to enable rapid maturation of key system components
Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and
customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solution
Provide technical support to guidance, tasking, and mentorship for a multidisciplinary team

Basic Qualifications:
Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline along with a minimum of 9
years relevant professional experience.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
Experience with C/C++/Python/Java or other related software languages
Must be a US Citizen as this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years’ related professional experience
Experience engaging with Department of Defense customers and stakeholders
Technical, cost, and schedule performance management
Demonstrated experience working through the lifecycle phases of development programs
Experience working with RF hardware including software-defined radios, signal processors, FPGAs
Ability to lead multi-functional teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team
with common goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build
consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership,
and customers
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to get results from teams without direct authority

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $105,000 - $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
