The Opportunity
Ancestry is seeking a Staff Program Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team. The PMO organization drives impact by ensuring cross functional teams execute effectively and make trade offs to deliver on our company’s vision and goals.
The successful candidate will inspire a shared vision by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, drive execution rigor and efficiency through clarity, resolve roadblocks, and identify opportunities to accelerate goal delivery and roadmap execution.
This position can be fully remote from any of our approved locations, hybrid, or in the office at our Lehi, UT or San Francisco, CA locations.
What You’ll Do:
Drive and own large cross-functional programs and partner closely with stakeholders to deliver goals
Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and thought leadership across multiple organizations, influence strategic direction impacting long term plans, and help define roadmaps
Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team
Mobilize stakeholders to align with business strategy and organizational needs. Influence large teams to solve problems and gain buy-in
Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly
Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment
Actively coach and mentor junior team members in the PMO team
Who You Are:
7+ years of technical program management experience
Minimum of a B.A. or B.S.; PMP certification or related technical discipline experience preferred
Experience leading technology, marketing, and/or science investments across multiple products or business lines from conception to delivery
Demonstrated ability to lead execution across highly ambiguous, complex programs, with experience in making tradeoffs
Effective communicator who can translate high-level goals into tangible action plans, manage scope, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and take ownership driving programs from start to finish
Demonstrated experience developing and presenting clear and concise recommendations, outlining alternatives, financial implications, and key decision criteria
As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $104,000 - $224,000 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision.
