About the Position
The Staff Engineering Manager will Derive for & audit safety, environmental & other regulatory compliances required on plant equipment & safety. Manage, track & analyze engineering expense & capital budgeting to ensure compliance. Manage resources to ensure the proper design, installation, modification & maintainability of new & existing plant equipment, buildings & facilities. Manage the necessary engineering & maintenance support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.
Responsibilities
Ensure safety, environmental & other regulatory compliances by working with appropriate associates on EHS issues, following the implementation of MSR’s & continually improving the communication across all relevant departments
Manage multidisciplinary engineering services, equipment selection & procurement
provide administrative services, program coordination, budgeting & control of operating expenditures in support of the plant
Education and Experience
BS - Manufacturing or Engineering
Masters / MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years engineering/maintenance management in an industrial environment.
Experience in leading multi-disciplinary technical associates to achieve cost effective goals.
Equipment design experience, along with project engineering or project management role.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of computerized layouts, spreadsheets & data management.
Requires strong communication, business, technical, analytical & planning skills.
Ability to understand plant layouts, capital estimating, associate-man computations, tire cost structure & MFG equipment processes.
