POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Analyst is responsible for managing project activities and supplier interfaces working with the Program Management and Product Development organizations. Prime tasks will include managing the master project schedules and status charts for regular reviews. The candidate will also assume leadership of some of the regular occurring meetings. The ideal candidate will have personal skills to coordinate between the different the organizational and supplier interfaces. Technical skill should include a working knowledge of Microsoft Project and ability to work in other Microsoft Office applications to document meeting minutes, status, and potentially budget items. The person will report to the Chief of Staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple projects using MS Project and MS Office products
- Help manage and provide input on Key Performance Indicators.
- Coordinate with groups internal and external with Key Performance Indicators. Work to integrate cross organizational activities.
- Help to establish and maintain a Risk Management process to document engineering and program risks.
- Create and improve processes related to managing engineering data, configuration management, and cost indicators.
- Assist in managing and improving organizational processes and procedures that accomplish short and long term goals.
- Assist with developing organizational strategies and documenting them in a measurable fashion.
- Responsible to follow the policies and procedures in a consistent and professional manner.
- Ensure the team performs to committed schedules, budgets, terms, conditions, and requirements of the programs.
- Collaborates with Executive and Senior leadership team to ensure companywide initiatives and business objectives are met.
- Provides support to cross-functional project teams as well as external customer and vendor team members.
- Shares knowledge across organizational boundaries and promotes continuous process improvement.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or better in business management or related field.
- 3 years experience in a similar role
- Understanding of Microsoft Products including advanced knowledge of Project
- 3 years or more of experience in similar role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aerospace experience in developing airplane systems
- Strong Microsoft Project experience
- Different methods of planning projects (Agile, waterfall, etc)
- Additional training outside of formal training
- Experience working with suppliers
- Aerospace experience with system development
- Additional related training and education preferred
- Experience working with subcontractors or suppliers
- Experience with Agile or similar planning methods
