Rapidly growing Tele Health company in Eatontown that focuses in Software Development is seeking a Direct Hire Staff Accountant. (Hybrid Opportunity)

Job Purpose:
This position will play a pivotal role on the accounting team within finance. Team member will be involved in many accounting functions, from reconciling ledgers to detailed analysis. Supporting a finance team in a new carve out in the technology telehealth business.

Roles & Responsibilities:
This position handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures.

• Maintains general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts.
• Performs various month end reconciliations
• Maintains accounting records for fixed assets.
• Assists outside auditors at year-end to include preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.
• Prepares Monthly Inventory Reporting
• Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material. Updates records as necessary.
• Assist with design and implementation of any necessary department controls.
• Proactively Interfaces with Information Management department for accounting and management data and initiates modifications/enhancements to computerized systems.
• Proactively engages with other departments and team members to initiate and implement process improvements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, reports on changes in financial position/budget variances.
• Recommend improvements to processes and financial reporting.
• Establish business relationships with operational and sales organizations
• Must have knowledge of accounting and appropriate software* Microsoft Office Suite
• IFS
• Various Accounting Software Packages

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and prior experience with software and appliance accounting techniques and approaches
• Comfort with project management accounting
• Team player in a fast-paced environment to assist the goals of the finance team
• High levels of professionalism and integrity
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Tremendous communication skills
• Comfortable with reconciling balance sheet accounts and PL accounts

Education & Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years experience
• Experience in public and private accounting preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Excel required
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
• Must be willing to apply for security clearances, SSA Suitability, and other related clearances to be able to work at certain customer locations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
• Limited weekend and/or night work may be required
• Must be able to pass suitability requirements
• Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
