POSITION: Sr. Technology Services Manager
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
FLSA STATUS: Full-time/Salaried/Exempt
Summary
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Sr. Technology Services Manager for ASM/All Jacksonville managed facilities. Responsible for providing technology leadership and management of technology systems and services to include technology solutions provided to users, staff, clients and customers. This includes management of strategic and tactical activities to ensure satisfaction, technical delivery, contract compliance and resource management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generates and implements information technology strategy, maintaining regular contact with both ASM and City of Jacksonville executives to determine business direction and needs for technology support.
- Oversee the DAS system and negotiates carrier agreements and service contracts accordingly.
- Responsible for presenting an annual technology capital budget per venue (6) to maintain and integrate current IT standard and best practices are achieved.
- Oversee and maintain all technology aspects and connectivity required for broadcast providers in any broadcasted sporting event including NFL and NCAA events at the stadium and all other ASM Jacksonville venues.
- Educates staff and executives regarding the status of technology relative to strategic goals and objectives.
- Recommends and/or determines the businesses’ long-term system needs and proposes hardware / software solutions to accomplish business objectives and to support goals and participates on key business committees.
- Oversee all IT aspects of the CCTV, Security systems, and access control.
- Develops, recommends, manages, and regularly reviews business models for provisioning or supporting show management, exhibitor and guest’s technology needs including determining the technologies to be provided, appropriate and competitive pricing models, and processes for efficient, consistent, and customer-focused delivery.
- Negotiates and maintains responsibility for managing all IT related vendor contracts and sub-contractors.
- Coordinates services in collaboration with City provided services.
- Assists with and creates requests for proposals for Technology related projects including several ongoing capital improvement projects.
- Manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Technology Services Department including directing staff that support administration, clients, tenants, and events.
- Works with show producers, production companies and staffing providers to negotiate day rates and conditions for technical staff and talent for in-house productions
- Oversee all aspects of mobile internal communications technologies such as cellular service, tablets, radio or other data or voice devices utilized by staff to efficiently complete required assignments including procurement, distribution, inventory control and support.
- Responsible for managing on-site personnel actions, staff training and development.
- Assists in completion and monitoring of operational and Capital budgets and business plans.
- Coordinate all audio-visual and telecommunications requirements and services for television and radio networks for event broadcasts
- Coordinate repair and maintenance of Daktronics and Lighthouse video boards from contracted vendors in accordance with maintenance agreements. Coordinate and supervise all in-house repairs not within the scope of agreements.
- Purchase, maintain and repair all “head-end” equipment including security cameras, access systems, radios, telephone modules, televisions, and control room production equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise installation, maintenance and repair of all audio-visual equipment and cabling infrastructure (to include labeling and identifying use)
- Coordinate, manage and advise on DAS implementation and upgrades.
- Ensures all equipment is maintained according to factory specifications and that work meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Creates layout plans and wiring diagrams and assists with implementation for events.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless network and/or server/client solutions and related software/hardware components and infrastructure through staff or contractors.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications, DATA, audio, video, and other low voltage infrastructure including but not limited to UTP, STP, coaxial and fiber optic cable through staff or contractors.
- Maintain multiple single-mode and multi-mode fiber plants through staff or contractors.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot advanced CATV systems and related software/hardware components and infrastructure through staff or contractors.
- Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast audio and video systems through staff or contractors.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IP-based Voice, DATA and video systems and related software/hardware components and infrastructure through staff or contractors.
- Hold weekly staff meetings as required. Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all the other departments.
- Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Respond to routine and emergency calls and make necessary repairs.
- Research, develop and make recommendations regarding the maintenance and capital improvement of equipment and systems.
- Monitor system efficiencies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist in the daily oversight of appropriate contractors.
- Provide event related maintenance, services, and support.
- Review, perform and maintain regular department work orders and equipment using CMMS (ASM Maintenance)
- Conduct regular inspections of workspaces to ensure proper housekeeping, safety and compliance exists for the protection of health, safety and rights of employees and the public.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise all employees in the Technology Services Department including the IT Manager. The Manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resource; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors’ degree preferred. Advanced degree (MPS-IS / MS-IST / MISM/MBA) desired.- Min. 5 years of experience in the Technologies Field in the Sports & Entertainment industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience leading Technologies / IT strategic initiatives in a related industry preferred.
- Overall understanding and experience in facility management, event industry experience preferred.
- Prior management experience (3 to 5 years) preferred.

- Strong understanding of Routing/WLAN/VLAN/TCP/IP- including port forwarding, throttling, and configuration.
- Strong understanding of CATV solutions, fiber plants, broadcast electronics, wireless and wired networks
- Possess and maintain accredited network or infrastructure certifications related to field of work.
- Be proficient in basic computer skills operating in standard Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, email, CMMS, and BAS programs.
- Familiar with computers and energy management systems (EMS), building automation systems (BAS) digital direct controls (DDC) and OSHA safety practices.
- Must have overall understanding and experience in facility management, event industry experience preferred.
- Must have attention to detail, ability to work independently with little supervision with good organizational skills to productively produce results and handle tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
- Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and be results driven.
- Excellent customer service skills are a must as the position requires frequent interaction with customers, vendors and visitors to the facilities.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet the City’s driving requirements for City equipment.
- Must have ability to possess and maintain current OSHA Forklift and Personnel Lift Certification.

- Ability to visually inspect and to distinguish colors.
- Must be able to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, turf mowers, scrubbers, sweepers, and other light power-driven equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
- Exposed to the potential hazards of the following: extreme noise that can exceed 85 dB, electrical shock, falls, cuts, bruises, strains and burns.
- Required to utilize protective equipment as may be needed for the specific task.
- Respond to routine, precautionary and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems. Follow and adhere to all safety precautions and procedures.
- Exposed to the following weather and working conditions: dirty, hot, cold, wet, slippery, chemicals, fumes, confined areas, ditches or other uncomfortable places.
HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Regular travel between building properties required.
