Job description

Luxury hotel in Miami Beach is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join our team. The successful candidate must have extensive high-volume luxury hotel experience, be able to manage large banquets and catering events, and possess strong leadership ability.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Executive Chef with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering of supplies
• Supervising and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
• Preparing and cooking meals for high volume restaurant and catering events
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all food safety standards are followed
• Providing excellent customer service, working closely with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction
• Assisting in the development of new menu items and special event menus
• Maintaining knowledge of current industry trends and culinary techniques

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a high volume luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
• Experience managing large banquets and catering events
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
