The individual hired in this position will serve as the Sr. Research Data Analyst for research and community partnership programs conducted by the Brancati Center for the Advancement of Community Care in the Division of Internal Medicine. The mission of the Brancati Center is to develop innovative models of care that improve the health of communities. This position will be primarily responsible for data related tasks specific to the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). This position requires the individual to work closely with team members to support programs primarily related to diabetes prevention. The candidate will work under the supervision of the Program Administrator and Brancati Center faculty directors to fulfill duties such as manage, clean, analyze and interpret data, as well as report on results. The position requires decision-making skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and use of applications commonly used in managing data sets.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Set up and maintain databases for new programs.
Maintain deep knowledge of all aspects of the National Diabetes Prevention Program protocols and procedures, and in particular metrics required for CDC certification and billing.
Follow policies to maintain data security.
Conduct statistical analyses using standard procedures to summarize data for reports for use internally and externally.
Design and prepare tables, figures, and dashboards to illustrate analytic findings.
Generate reports for project deliverables.
Review data procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Enter, oversee and submit data related to all community partnership related programs, including Diabetes Prevention Programs.
Prepare and present data updates at program meetings.
Conduct statistical analyses using standard procedures to summarize data for reports for use internally and externally.
Design and prepare tables, figures, and dashboards to illustrate analytic findings.
Generate reports for project deliverables.
Collaborate with the faculty leaders to resolve data issues to assure data quality for documentation and dissemination of data.
Assist with writing reports as well as manuscript writing and submission.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Serve as the supervisor for the Research Data Manager(s). This includes developing job descriptions, hiring, onboarding and evaluation.
Determine and propose staffing effort projections and allocations while adhering to budget limitations.
Provide leadership and foster team cooperation with a commitment to program quality.
Support professional growth, skills development, and career development.

Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Access) and basic statistical software (Stata, SAS or R).
Understanding of statistics is required. Proficiency with REDCap preferred.
Ability to work well as a both member of a team and independently; able to set goals and meet required deadlines. Independent decision making/trouble shooting abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent organization skills. Ability to work on multiple and competing priorities.
This is a hybrid position and will be required to be on site three days per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in related discipline. Typically require PhD.
One year related experience. Require highly specialized advancedknowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
