Overview

This is highly responsible professional administrative work providing management for major program areas within the Drug Free Office Division.
Work is performed under the direction of the Division Manager. Work is reviewed through conferences, records, reports, and results achieved.

The position requires management skills in meeting logistics, channeling inter-agency communications, organizing content, working with agency representatives and staff to access data, and finalizing presentations. The Senior Program Manager also serves in a planning role, laying the groundwork for upcoming meetings through informal, preparatory conversations with agency representatives between meetings.

Representative Duties

Duties may vary based on area of assignment.

  • Exercises a high degree of independence in planning, directing, and qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
  • Familiar with the jurisdiction’s public sector/government organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Background in public health, public safety, or a related field.
  • Skilled at building trust among and collaboration across large agencies or programs, often with

divergent viewpoints.

  • Able to facilitate information access, exchange, and analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate confidentiality and data use agreements are in place.
  • Support the development and improvement of business processes, policies, procedures, and

other protocols commonly associated with information management and data sharing, integration, and analysis.

  • Collect, share, and report performance measurement data.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Safety, Public Health or a closely related field (field of study will be designated by the hiring Division) and five years of experience in social, educational, or community services programs, healthcare setting; at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory or management capacity.
