PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role will oversee and manage the utilities regulated energy procurement process, demand response programs and market settlements Lead the development of potential courses of action and provide recommendations to senior management and Influence the success and strategic direction of the organization and lead work on cross functional teams. Other special projects as assigned.
This position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Direct Energy Procurement Provider of Last Resort (POLR) auctions within respective utility jurisdiction. This includes preparing the necessary data analytics to conduct auctions; effectively communicating with commission staff and key stakeholders; managing the deal capture and evaluation process.
- Manages contract and payment administration processes and the credit and collateral process.
- Acts as a primary interface with regulators and customer groups for the discussion of energy procurement related topics and negotiations. This includes changes in regulatory policy and procurement process design. Provides expert testimony in hearings before the state public service commissions.
- Manages demand response programs for local regional transmission organization (RTO) and special projects as assigned.
- Presents analytical results and recommended policy to Company management, PJM working groups, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, applied mathematics, economics or related discipline plus 10 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
- Proven communications skills in presenting complex information to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to direct and manage all aspects of energy procurement and demand response processes, wholesale supplier interactions and Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) processes related to the procurement of energy related products.
- Ability to supervise and manage Unit activities.
- Demonstrated strong leadership with the ability to lead cross-functional teams for management of strategic issues.
- Completion of Leadership Assessment required.
- Availability to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
- Master's degree preferred
