On the hunt for Master Mechanics that are tired of the auto industry! Our long standing client sells, distributes and services hi end precision equipment, and is expanding their service team! We have a Sr. Industrial Technician opening for their Albany, NY territory. The ideal candidate would have 3+ years proven experience as a Field Service, Industrial or Master Auto Technician, working on electromechanical systems including controllers and servo motors. Training, company vehicle, and tools are all part of the package! Around town travel home, occasional overnight! Full time position with benefits including 401K!

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service requests, traveling to customers’ facilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems, subsystems of CNC machines including lathes, mills and more
• Perform heavy mechanical repairs such as replacing Servo motors and spindles
• Communicate technical service information to customers.
• Analyze needed repairs and order replacement parts as required
• Installation and commissioning of new machinery, and add-ons
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify Fanuc controls
• Complete service reports for each service call thoroughly documenting diagnostic findings and service performed
• Ability to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, peers, and suppliers

Requirements

• 3 years minimum experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing a broad range of electromechanical motors
• Field service experience a plus!
• Knowledge of electromechanical systems, mechanical & electrical subsystems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Experience with indicators, calipers, meters, test bars and hand tools
• "Shop math" calculations and familiarity with CNC industry terms is a big plus
• Experience with Fanuc controls a plus
• Ability to use a PC and job-related software for programming, documentation, and record-keeping
• Ability to travel within territory to customer locations
• Must have valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
