SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst is primarily responsible for the administration and maintenance of the company’s HRIS (Workday). This position acts as the subject matter expert and provides administrative and analytical support including data entry, reporting and analysis, security maintenance and business process administration. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Workday HCM/payroll Consultant with monitoring integrations for issues, gathering requirements for new business process and configuration, training end users, testing of new system functionality prior to deployment, and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement based on Workday best practices. This position interacts closely with the Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management (HRBP team), and Compensation teams to support employee data and reporting needs and analysis. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports with other technical HR projects as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary analyst and administrator for Workday.
  • Serves as primary support for overseeing employee data changes in the system which includes, status changes (i.e. terminations, promotions, demotions, job changes, salary changes etc.).
  • Provides administrative and analytical support including data entry, reporting and analysis, security maintenance and business process administration.
  • Supports Workday HCM/Payroll Consultant with monitoring integrations for issues, gathering requirements for new business processes and requested configuration changes in the system and testing of new system functionality prior to deployment.
  • Strives to automate processes to eliminate waste and drive efficiency in the use of Workday.
  • Supports in regularly assessing current state of business processes in the system and proactively identifies areas of opportunity for improvement based on Workday best practices.
  • Supports with developing ad-hoc reports as requested by functional users and scheduling delivery of reports to users, per requested frequency.
  • Supports in guiding and teaching business users on system functionality to achieve maximum value and output.
  • Champions and communicates system changes and benefits.
  • Partners with HCM/Payroll Consultant to understand and prepare for integrations, migrations, uploads, and upgrades.
  • Keeps informed of Workday release changes and advances.
  • Supports HR department in troubleshooting, researching and resolving any reported data or system errors, and proactively responds in designing a procedure to avoid/reduce future occurrences.
  • Manages Company risk relative to position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years HRIS Specialist or Analyst experience
  • One to two years project management experience.
  • Experience with HRIS (Paycom, Workday or similar)
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced excel skills including the use of formulas, importing/exporting data to/from Excel, pivot tables, and charts etc.
  • Works well in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision; initiates and executes projects well independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and all levels of management
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced degree; PHR, CCP, CEBS or CBP certification
  • Prior HR experience in the financial services industry
  • Merger/acquisition experience
  • Systems implementation experience
