ABI is in its 20th year and growing! ABI is a full-service advertising and marketing firm headquartered in downtown Dallas. We specialize in four industries – travel/transportation, healthcare, education, and non-profits in both B2B and B2C. Opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and collaborative Art Director with agency experience to join our creative team. Consistently produce innovative, high quality work within a team dynamic with moderate supervision. The ability to create, manage, problem-solve, and execute the overall design and visual style for creative projects. An endless passion for art and design and a desire for continuous professional development by staying current on industry trends, software, and design best practices. The candidate will be able to take our creative strategy and visualize the concept, including animation, music/SFX, etc.

This is a full-time, in-house position. Hybrid work week.

Essential Qualifications:

• Creating strong, viable concepts and designs for each project, partnering with copywriters to ensure the copy direction and visual presentation work together to make the concept powerful and compelling
• Brainstorm and concept to create original work for multiple industries and clients
• Think strategically, while utilizing the creative strategy to achieve project goals
• Help drive overall creative direction and visual expression of the brand for key clients.
• Serve as a resource, mentor, and coach for design staff to improve the quality of their work, and peer review work from graphic designers, interns, and freelancers.
• Working, managing, or directing photoshoots, video shoots, and/or production vendors.
• Collaborate with the creative department (sometimes through several iterations)
• Manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a highly organized and detailed manner
• Be a student of advertising best practices and trends, as well as our firm’s clients, to keep the art relevant, modern, and effective.
• Present and explain concepts to both internal and external client departments.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working in an agency or in-house setting
• 1-2 years acting as Art Director or senior visual designer at an agency or in-house setting
• Strong Adobe suite skills: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Must excel at managing high-pressure, deadline-sensitive projects.
• Ideal candidates will be diplomatic, highly organized, and flexible problem solvers.
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with an eye-popping portfolio

• Coding (HTML) Experience
• An ability to sketch out ideas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
