Job Summary:
The Sports Operations Coordinator at Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls (the “Destination”), a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (the “Company” / NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW), will be responsible for the assistance of executing the ongoing operations at HOF Village powered by Johnson Controls.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist operations team with their efforts to maximize attendance and drive the operations of recreational sport leagues.
  • Ensure that ForeverLawn Sports Complex and other campus facilities are in proper order for guests and events.
  • Assist in the creation, distribution, and ongoing communication to guests via email, know before you go, and in-person discussion
  • Enforce facility policies and procedures.
  • Respond as needed to incidents, accidents injuries, and altercations.
  • Coordinate a seamless operations execution process with the support of relevant internal and external departments.
  • Provide superior customer service to visitors and clients,
  • Respond in a timely manner to calls, inquiries and emails,
  • Maintain comprehensive records as required,
  • Ability to execute operational contracts to ensure successful events,
  • Work directly with the Events, Sales and Services teams to ensure events are a success for clients,
  • Work directly with Operations Director of recreational Sports assisting in supervision, setup, breakdown, and execution of weeknight and weekend events.
  • Work and assist grounds crew manager on scheduling grooming, maintenance, and painting needs to maintain pristine playing conditions at ForeverLawn Sports Complex, Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, and Don Scott Field
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong team skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment; must possess a strong ability for effective time management and task prioritization.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and events.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).
  • 1-3 years of experience working in hospitality or sports industry.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Canton, Ohio.
Physical Requirements for Position:
  • The ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
  • The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • The ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions while assisting with events
