Fully Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, desiring to treat and/or supervise in pediatric home health setting in Waco, TX.

We are looking for a therapist to work Part-time (20-29 weekly visits) or PRN (5-19 weekly visits) or supervise assistants for us.

About Us:

Cornerstone helps patients from birth to 21 years of age reach an optimal level of wellbeing in their homes. We offer full time, part time and as needed (PRN) positions for speech, physical, and occupational therapists. We have a passion for serving not only the children of our community but their families as well by providing hope, support, and encouragement throughout the referral and therapy processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer evaluations, analyze results of evaluating assessments, and report findings in a timely manner
• Formulate plan of care and set long-term and short-term goals for prescription of services for clients
• Track and record client progression and mastery of goals; observes and records client’s progress, attitudes, and behaviors, while maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA regulation and ethical standards
• Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to provide excellent care for patients
• Provide appropriate plan, treatment, and evaluation for speech, language, and cognitive disorders with appropriate tests and measurements. Maintain pertinent records of specific tests performed and progress made
• Educate patient/family concerning patient deficits, ways to facilitate communication, and appropriate discharge plans through family members
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitate the use of these skills with other team members to achieve desirable outcomes
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service education. Maintain CEU requirements as applicable per licensure
• Promote agency philosophy and follow administrative policies to ensure quality of care

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
• License from the State of Texas in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech Language Hearing Association
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• CPR Certification
• Pediatric Experience Required
