In Outokumpu Stainless Steel we are looking for a remote "Specialist - Digital Enablement" to join our Sales team in Calvert, Alabama.
The Digital Enablement Specialist is responsible for BA Americas digital projects, their release coordination, communications, reporting, and fully exploiting IT-supplied technology through use of roadmaps. This role will work closely with IT, Sales Leaders and Enablement teams to ensure the coordinated delivery of new tools meet both compliance, and the new standard set to excel with tier 1 customer.

With a growing portfolio of both austenitic and ferritic grades from our fully-integrated mill in Calvert, Alabama, and our stainless steel finishing mill in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, and service center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Outokumpu Americas is well-positioned to serve the expanding needs of the Americas’ market.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze and judge criticality of business and customer requirements on digital transformation, EDI and Portals.
- Design digital business processes, and user interfaces that enhance the customer journey.
- Identify risks of operating digital tools and install/manage preventive, detective & corrective internal controls.
- Introduce rationale of digital transformation, functionalities and impact to Sales organization & their customers.
- Develop training material and training concepts as well as train Super Users and End Users from Sales operations.
- Develop and internally align business continuity processes (incl. roles & responsibilities) to cope with system downtime of digital tools.
- Develop digital, EDI & Portal performance KPIs, measure performance, address target gaps & propose correction.
- Define and manage Digital projects (examples, Auto Order Entry and Order Status), their budgets and governance processes.
- Be an advocate for advanced analytics and automation to streamline efficiencies.
- Mapping customer journeys, identify pain points that customers experience across interfaces; from quote to invoice to claim. \
- Work in partnership with sales teams to identify and target customers for new digital tools and improve ease of doing business.
- Supports the Business Analyst in identifying and defining digital assessment business requirements.
- Use technology application(s) knowledge to define and lead detailed analysis in response to business & technology requests.
- Steward investment and curate inputs into the project scoping phase.
- Lead the development of digital project and new applications.
- Orchestrate digital projects that streamline internal team workflows
- Develop, manage, and maintain databases of information pertinent to the delivery of actionable intel.
- Recover troubled digital projects.
Share Accountabilities:
- Actively participate in broader functional technology projects and steering groups, especially where end users are impacted by change.
- Be an active participate on digital workplace steering committee meetings (BTIT) and bring the voice of the customer to planning sessions.
Requirements:
- Related college degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years in Digital program deployment and experience leading Digital change.
- Experience. Proven capability to build Digital roadmaps and aligning with enterprise architecture.
- Digital dexterity. The ability to learn and utilize digital workplace technologies to catalyze new ways of working.
- Communication. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts at all levels (Spanish would be an advantage).
- Interpersonal skills. Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
- Digital mindset. The ability to focus on helping empower teams to embrace and have the motivation to fully exploit IT-supplied technology.
- Projects. Proven ability to create business cases and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
