Job description
Sharon High School is seeking a special education teacher for students receiving services in the full inclusion LEAP program.
The Sharon Public Schools is seeking 2 teachers for a full inclusion special education program at Sharon High School.
Positions available:
- Grade 9
- Grade 12
LEAP is a program designed for students with language-based learning needs. Students in this program require specific remediation, modifications, and accommodations due to significant language-based reading disabilities. The teacher will be responsible for teaching and supporting reading and writing as well as executive functioning skills.
Responsibilities of the Special Education teacher include but is not limited to:
Direct instruction in an Academic Lab setting (learning Center)- Co-teaching core academic subjects
- Modifying curriculum as appropriate
- IEP development, progress reporting, and evaluations as necessary
- Act as liaison between the school and home

MA DESE Licensure in Moderate Disabilities required, experience with HS sciences and 3 years of related work is preferred.
