Bar Marseille seeks Sous Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage the kitchen, create menus, and oversee food preparation and presentation. The successful candidate will be a culinary professional with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and a strong desire to grow and develop their skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning, recipe development, and menu implementation.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to ensure high-quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all staff adhere to established recipes, techniques, and standards.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any dining-related issues that may arise.
  • Control food cost by utilizing appropriate purchasing, storage, and inventory practices.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to develop their skills and ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation.
