Description: This position will be supporting Archbald, PA manufacturing facility in designing, developing and implementing manufacturing processes and systems through analyzing production data for improvement, managing production schedules, ensuring quality control, developing and implementing new technologies.

Lockheed Martin Archbald is a full-service Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility that provides design, manufacturing, engineering, & field service support for both domestic and international customers. Our site manufacturers many products within the Precision Guided Systems (PGS), Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) and other MFC lines of business. For over 70 years our products feature safety-critical systems for nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers, & commercial nuclear power plants while also designing and manufacturing air-to-ground weapon and training systems for the US Military and international allied customers.

The Locale: Archbald is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Archbald is a suburb of Scranton, PA. The city of Scranton hosts five colleges and universities: Lackawanna College, Marywood University, The University of Scranton, Johnson College, and The Commonwealth Medical College and one technical school, Fortis Institute. Where can you get to from Archbald? Philadelphia is 2.5 hours to the south, and NYC is two hours to the southeast. Binghamton, NY is an hour north of Archbald. The Pocono Mountains and Lake Wallenpaupack are nearby.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Industrial, Manufacturing, or other Engineering Degree
• Ability to troubleshoot and/or develop application solutions using ASP and .NET Core coding
• Software Engineering experience in one or more of the following object-oriented software languages: C#, Java, C++Experience working with SQL databases for common software engineering tasks
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment or independently
• Ability to support production teams and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent written and oral communication/interpersonal skills
• Familiar with modern DevSecOps pipelines and tools such as Atlassian, Gitlab, and Jenkins
• This facility requires special access so all candidates must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

• Candidate will have knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards, unit testing and configuration management, database, and System administration.
• Proficient in Python, C++
• Green Belt or Black Belt Certifications in lean/six-sigma to drive continuous improvement
• Use of configuration management tools and MRP/ERP production system (i.e., SAP, Windchill)
• Use of simulation modeling to analyze and improve production process flow

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
