Position Summary:
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for the design and implementation of low level and application-level software for power electronics and electric motors. Responsible for software development from requirement gathering, implementation, testing, debugging and production release. Responsible for commissioning of custom drive S/W at customer sites. Demonstrates expert knowledge in implementing code using advanced algorithms and programming techniques for motor control and application software.

Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting technical and design requirements.
- Validate electronics and firmware through robust test plans and procedures.
- Support safety and quality validation testing and documentation.
Use version control procedures and systems to manage product development.
Work with customers and field personnel in deployment, commissioning and troubleshooting of products
Assist in developing the technical and commercial specifications of products or services gathered from customer feedback.
Stay current with latest technology trends (i.e., Smart Technology) and competitor products. - S/W Development for Machine Drive Systems
- Customer interface @ Customer sites
- QA testing of new technologies (S/W and H/W) and products.
- Develop Product Requirements documents based on Marketing and Customer input.
- Manage Development Schedules and report status to management.
- Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
- Apply new technologies to actual products
- Customer Commissioning of Custom Drive S/W
EDUCATION:
4- year Software and/or Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE/BSSWE).
EXPERIENCE:
1 - 5 years with Electrical/Embedded S/W Development
OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
4- year Software and/or Electrical Engineering degree (BSEE/BSSWE).
EXPERIENCE:

OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with development and manufacturing vendors.
- Experience with C+ programming language.
- Experience working with PLCs (Allen-Bradley)
- Real time embedded software development using the C programming language.
- Experience with real-world variable frequency applications such as pumps, fans, blowers or compressors a plus.
- Conceptual thinker.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Travel domestically and internationally is a requirement.
- Good Presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Smart technologies a plus
