1st shift or 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Pipe Shop, Assembly Building, Outside Assembly areas, Erection, Rigging, Outfitting and Testing.
• Review production schedules and work with Planning and Scheduling to maintain delivery dates.
• Coordinate with QC Department regarding quality issues and inspections.
• Coordinate with Fabrication Shop on schedules and work flow requirements.
• Direct and support Ship Superintendent.
• Coordinate with Project Manager.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Facilities on any issues in Pipe Shop, Assembly and Erection areas.
• Responsible for maintaining proper manpower with the ability to move manning as needed to support schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in sub-assemblies, assemblies, and assembly blocks
• Must have a broad knowledge of assembly and erection of assemblies and assembly blocks for steel hull vessels.
• Must be computer literate.
• Depending on the project, this job classification may require that you be certified and/or licensed on heavy equipment operation, overhead cranes or on diesel, gasoline and electric powered forklifts.
• Must possess good organizational skills and ability to accomplish the required assignments within designated timeframes.
• Must have ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, craft and departments.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Must be physically able to work in all areas of the shipyard.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
