Vallejo company looking for a Shipping/Receiving associate. This candidate should be able to inspect shipments and deliveries with great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items. Ultimately, a top Shipping/Receiving Clerk should be able to ensure efficient shipping and receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

Role and Responsibilities

Move, store and control inventory to and from warehouse locations to assure proper storage and inventory control.

Unload and receive in-bound freight, inspect and mark material as required.

Count all products, compare your counts to the drivers’ manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates.

Package and prepare materials for shipment.

Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.

Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.

Updating inventory with received items.

Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems.

Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.

Move, store and control inventory to and from warehouse locations to assure proper storage and inventory control.

Ensures that all freight paperwork is complete, accurate, legible, and processed in a timely manner.

Records product received. Uses scanning equipment, as required, to register bar codes for tracking freight in Warehouse Management System.

Sorts and places products on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined locations.

Assist with physical inventories by use of scanners. Ensure proper stock rotation by following lot number identification. Perform cycle counts as required.

Safely, effectively, and efficiently operates material handling equipment as required (lift trucks, pallet jacks, etc.) to perform daily duties/responsibilities.

M-F 5am-3pm

Pay is $18/hr.
