Position Summary
Indeck Ladysmith Biofuel Center, an established producer of high-quality wood pellets based in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, is seeking candidates to fill Shift Supervisor positions.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are operating a rotary dryer and pellet mills while directing a crew to ensure that production, safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping goals are met:
- Ensures compliance with daily facility housekeeping and upkeep.
- Ensures compliance with facility Safety programs, proper PPE use and practices.
- Ensures compliance with facility Environmental programs and operating parameters.
- Ensures compliance with facility Quality programs and leadership with product consistency.
- Coordinates chipping, pelleting and packaging operations.
- Responsible for production efficiencies along with shift & daily reports.
- Manages crew personnel.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical degree preferred.
- 1-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exhibit good leadership and decision-making skills.
- Capable of participating in light maintenance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Pass a background check.
- Must be able to work in the United States without employer support or sponsorship.
