Description of Essential Functions/Duties

• Able to set up, operate and maintain all printing presses
• Work with autonomy. In charge of printing production from start to finish
• Operator will load press with paper, plates and ink per job specifications
• Ability to work in team environment following all related safety and environmental guidelines such as: proper storage of press rags, chemical storage, handling along with ensuring all containers are labeled properly
• Produce a high quality product meeting or exceeding customer expectations and performing press pulls per established standards
• Operate press, maintain ink, water balance, print job to customer specifications, maintaining established tolerances and preserve plates as possible maximizing run length
• Dispense pre-mixed PMS colors or mix colors utilizing established formulas as required
• Must have the ability to distinguish colors on paint sheets comparing to standards as well as visual recognition by form
• Recognize paint related problems as sheets feed through the press such as: sheet curl, wave, wrinkles, toning, dry plate, ink coverage, ink contrast as well as other related issues
• Able to read complex job instructions and ensure quality standards are met
• PM presses as needed. Changing rollers and or setting pressures, ink stripes, covers, blankets/packing, greasing, oiling, adjusting grippers, maintain chiller, change filters and clean, maintain press area
• Help maintain press supplies to minimize delays

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-3 years offset printing on sheet-fed Heidelberg presses
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Good mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Five years offset printing with some litho press experience
• Experience in printing paint sheets

COMPENSATION IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Job Type: Full-time
