The City of Laconia Public Works Department is seeking a motivated individual to oversee the management and operation of the City’s wastewater system. The Collection System Coordinator will manage the operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater collection system which includes 18 pump stations, 87 miles of pipe and 2 subordinate staff. This is a Collection System to be proud of!
The Coordinator will oversee City compliance with the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements. Tasks will include collection system permit compliance, asset management, procuring materials and services for system maintenance, managing easements and assist with crafting a ten-year collections system capital improvement program.
Knowledge of engineering design principles and practices as applied to wastewater collection systems; working knowledge of field surveying practices along with skill in the use of surveying equipment and computer aided drafting (CAD) software experience. ArcGis software and GPS mapping experience preferred.
