We are a multifaceted Bank that partners with the fintech community to enable a broad range of payments. We are seeking a Settlement Analyst to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a head for numbers, experience with MS Excel, excellent verbal, and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. The Settlement Analyst will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively, independently, and be able to meet deadlines.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience

  • Organized and independent; a self-starter who is comfortable taking on significant responsibility

  • Strong analytical and communication skills; you’re able to analyze a problem, pay attention to details, work through a solution, and discuss your analysis

  • Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Excel – Intermediate Level (including proficiency with formulas, pivot tables and look-ups)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organization skills and attention to details
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to ensure team meets deadlines
  • Payments or banking background are a must

What You'll Do

  • Account reconciliation and auditing

  • Daily support of Payment Solutions Department transaction processing

  • Balance and support of clearing and reconciliation for program managers and Networks

  • Create daily settlement procedures to facilitate account reconciling

  • Work closely with Settlement Services Department to reconcile program manager ACH transactions.

  • Work closely with major Networks to resolve any discrepancies related to daily settlements.

  • Reconcile program manager prefunding and settlements accounts.

  • Perform financial due diligence on prospects and clients as needed

  • Support general ledger activity to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

  • System Management: Maintaining knowledge and awareness of our current accounting systems, including receiving training on new and updated features
