Service Parts Coordinator

Location: Madison, WI

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

North Central Utility (NCU) is one of the largest semi-trailer dealers in the world helping support the transportation industry and the critical movement of goods. A large portion of our business helps support refrigerated carriers that transport temperature-sensitive food and materials throughout North America.

Job Description: North Central Utility is seeking a Service Parts Coordinator to perform work assignments while maintaining established company and industry standards.

Primary Functions:

• Research and identify parts needed for Service Department jobs.
  • Pull and issue parts to the appropriate repair order. When possible, have parts pulled and issued in advance for incoming jobs

  • Deliver parts to the appropriate technician

  • Make sure all parts that are pulled for Service Department jobs, are issued immediately to a Repair Order.

  • Check with Technicians throughout the day for additional needs and to assure that all parts used are issued to the repair order(s)

  • Review repair order parts tickets daily to assure all parts are noted and issued to the job.

  • Review repair order operation stories to assure all parts needed are issued
• Work with the Service Department personnel in preparing estimates in a timely manner.
  • Research, identify, and quote all parts needed for the estimate
    • Work with the Parts Manager to have new parts added to our operating system

  • Allocate and issue all stocking parts needed for accepted estimates

  • Generate order requests to purchasing for parts needed and not in stock
• Review on the order status of parts ordered for Service Department jobs
  • Contact suppliers for updated ETA on incoming parts

  • Note ETA in WEBRO2
• Work with Parts Manager and Purchasing to expedite emergency orders
  • Work with Parts Manager and Purchasing to place emergency orders with our preferred Vendors
