American Coastal is a small business in Ocean City, MD. We are innovative, autonomous, and professional company seeking an experienced, qualified Service Maintenance Technician who is looking to grow within our company.

The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable knowledge of home repair, construction, and general facility maintenance knowledge.

Candidate must possess or have access to and use their own tools and transportation and will be asked to perform the following types of tasks at a minimum on a regular basis:

• General carpentry work and home repair/maintenance
• Light Painting
• Drywall and plaster repair
• Cleaning (cleanup after job or after repair event)
• HVAC troubleshooting
• Door lock changes
• Light electrical repair
• Light plumbing repair
• Appliance installation/removal
• Door hanging and repair
• Lifting minimally 30 pounds repeatedly
• Knowledge/experience in insect and pest control activities
• Cable service troubleshooting

In addition to the day-to-tasks of the position, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of functionality/use of various tools associate with general maintenance tasks

• Average or better computer and internet knowledge
• Knowledge of construction by experience
• Performing visual and physical inspection of rental properties and creating reports for those inspections.
• Estimating time and labor expenditure upon request as needed.
• Meeting with, instructing, documenting, and following up with contractors, vendors, management on services to our properties.
• Responding to emergency maintenance requests after business hours, on holidays, and weekends (on-call).
• Documenting all work in writing daily.
• Taking photographs of work before and after and uploading photos to our database.

The successful candidate must possess and present positive references and documented experience. Candidate must be available to work “in-season” Monday-Friday between 9am-5:00pm, with some weekend on calls and during the “off season” Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Handyman/repair: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
