We are looking for a Professional Service Writer for a busy independent auto service and repair shop located near Los Angeles. Applicant must have significant automotive service writing experience as well as good work references. Excellent customer service skills, technical automotive experience/knowlege, automobile diagnostic ability as well as strong sales experience are all a must. Applicant will have to pass pre-hire criminal background check and drug testing prior to any discussion about a job offer. Please only reply if you meet the ALL the criteria above.We desire a Service Writer who is a motivated sales person that has the ability to grow with our business, while consistently ensures customers are "Totally Satisfied." Job duties will include ensuring all phone calls for estimates are promptly answered, accurately assessing vehicular performance issues/problems, compiling precise estimates, effectively scheduling jobs/mechanic's time, calling for parts, helping sell jobs, making thank you calls and reminder calls to customers. In addition you must accurately complete and enter all estimates and repair orders including inspections and recommended services, successfully market both existing customer base as well as help build new customer base via a variety of online methods. You must be able to relate to customers and ensure complaint free service. Have a strong sales ability. Be able to multi-task. Be organized.Have a positive attitude.Be looking for a long term position. You will need an excellent work ethic, attendance, and reliability. References will be checked. ASE certs and other automotive service writing training certifications are desired. Strong mechanical background with accurate estimating knowledge and great customer service skills are REQUIRED and only those who possess them should apply.
